What was the designer’s vision/ goal?
The goal was a one-of-a-kind design with multiple outdoor living areas and the swimming pool as a focal point.
What were some of the challenges?
Sight lines posed a challenge but were established by aligning the pool for optimum views. Elevation challenges were addressed with retaining walls that raised the levels of the property’s backyard.
What are the main design features?
A swimming pool made completely of custom glass tiles, a vanishing sheer-descent swimming pool edge, smartphone-controlled settings, and a sunken fire pit that seats up to 12 guests.
What materials did you use?
Materials included limestone, marble, and custom tile mosaics.
